Mapping Methods

Mapping methods are actually quite popular and also practical method for analysing dynamical character of the non-linear systems, and exhibits some sort of chaotic behavior in chaotic systems. Because motion estimations are too complicated and generally impossible using analytical approximation for chaotic systems, the numerical approximations are best options for getting insight of these systems. Although in celestial dynamics, the Poincare map (surface of section) is generally the most convenient option for analysing motion around gravitational bodies, there are actually lots of kinds of mapping methods to analyse chaotic dynamics of celestial bodies, ……………… such as; weak stability boundaries, periapsis maps, motion maps …. etc.
